Preserving the intelligence of cultures and slowing its dillution in the process of globalization by making it more meaningful
The transcontinentals (TNL’s) invite you to meet other cultures, other humans through music, opening a dialogue where they are fully respected and preserved.
This is a necessary way to really get to understand others, while creating a space where the musical cultural expression may be fully expressed, a space of dialogue, without make-up , without guide, without aesthetic transformations.
Yann-Gaël Poncet roams the furthest regions of the world, violin in hand. He offers us the sounds of the people he meets in his trips through the Transcontinentals.
They offer a way of valueing in a festive manner the musics that bear a strong identity but which are less represented on the political sphere ; a way of meeting those others too often forgotten and to consider certain issues with new perspectives.
The transcontinentals are also a means of opposing an increasingly more pregnant cultural imperialism, and to value a humanistic ideal as well as the French musical innovations.
Against all odds, he creates this exquisite duo through electro and by means of new ways of approaching traditional musics. The resulting shows are outstanding !

This show aims at making the music of the Carribean minority available for the youngsters of the rest of the country.
The show has been created at the Festival Internacional del las Artes (FIA) at San Jose in front of 26 000 persons.

The aim is to allow the musical pieces of the andine minority inside the project’s greatest institutions.
The project has thus been created in the room of the Philharmonique of the Kirchner Cultural Center (CCK) in Buenos Aires.

To take part in the fight against desertification, to allow human beings and musics to dialogue.The tree has been chosen as a symbol that federates and gathers humans together in order to bear the cause of the Transcontinental Shajara (« tree » in arabic).
